(1) Ugyen International Language and Culture Training Institute
Ugyen International Language and Culture Training Institute is registered training institute with Ministry of Labour and human Resources licensed by Ministry of Trade and Economic Affairs in the year 2015 which is based in Thimphu Plaza, Building 4th floor, Changlam Road, Thimphu City, Capital of Bhutan.
It offers intensive Chinese programs that prepare individuals for using Chinese Mandarin Language in the real world. Our programs are based on current research in the fields of language training, acquisition, learning and assessment. The Institute believes in quality service rather than quantity. It assures quality service by facilitating most advanced equipment and tools required for faculties and staffs.
We give Chinese instruction which helps in enhancing your capability in speaking Chinese Mandarin Language which is also spoken language all around the world; in an academic or professional context and about all the foreign culture and domestic culture.
The institute also offers tourism and hospitality management courses like Cultural Tourist Guiding, national certificate level II (NC – II), Trekking Guide NC – III, Front Office course (both NC-II & NC-III), Housekeeping (both NC-II & NC-III), Food and Beverages course (both NC-II & NC-III), Food Production course (both NC-II & NC-III) and also Buddhism and Iconography courses.

a. Khempo Ugyen La
Khenpo Ugyen Tashi is currently serving as Chinese Language Course and Buddhism teacher. As a Chinese Mandarin Language Trainer he had a experience of more than 15 years teaching Bodhisattva caryavatara (Bodhisattva Deeds) which was founded by the Shanti Dewa to Taiwanese.
Dharma class will be offered at free of cost.
b. Mr. Suresh Gurung (Loja)
The European Training Center for Hospitality and Tourism, Modul Institute, Vienna, Austria (2005 – 2007)
Graduated from prestigious Modul School of International Hospitality and Tourism with distinction.
Team representative for speech, communication and writing for all major class presentations.
Conducted and lectured junior classes in the final year.
Guiding Techniques & Environmental Ethics, Salzburg, Austria (July 2004)
Participated in a course on tour guiding technicalities and ethics covering both cultural and environmental.
c. Mr. Sither Tshering
worked in Tourism Industry since 1986 to present.
One of the most seasoned trekking guide in the country who has done the snowman trek 26 times of which 18 were successfully completed.
d. Mr. Lhap Dorji

e. Mr. Churamani Sharma
- Worked at Ugyen Academy for 8 years.
